Client feedback

Well… today I’ve officially stopped training any of the free clients (one started late) and I have some feedback from 2 of them… I’m waiting for one more to send me his feedback… I’m sure you all know what Bandar and Shono will say, so I don’t think I need to ask them for feedback… I’ve kicked one of the clients out on his first week… and another client gave up on his 2nd week and called it quits.

Here’s what one of them had to say:

“the last time i talked to u i only had one week left, i finished the diet out and the training, although that last week i felt like shit...and then the week after that i went down to the beach for a week and took a week off of training and ate decent.....alot of compliments at the beach from all my friends and a tan was real nice...so i took that week off but i did notice that my strength was going down on the last week of the diet but i think it was just from a loss of energy due to work/training.....so when i took the week off i decided i wanted to get back in the gym to really start improving my strength so i researched a little and im trying a carb cycling diet which hopefully will keep me lean but i can still progress and get stronger...since i stopped the diet and training, weights have been going pretty well...im not as lean as i was in the stomach but i didnt expect to be. but i noticed that the last week my traps really made some improvements. well here are some numbers for u

starting weight: 186
ending weight : 178

Bench press
started: 290 X 6 finished 300 X 6

Leg Press
started 410 X 6 finished 600 X 6 ---crazy improvement

Squats
started 250 X 7 finished 295 X 6

Deadlifts
started 295 X 4 finished 380 X 6 and 385 X 3

Alternating DB Bi curls
started 55 X 6 ended 65 X 6

Bent over rows
started 195 X 7 ended 240 X 6

Reverse Grip Bench
started 185 X 5 ended 230 X 6

military DB
started 85 X 5 ended 95 X 6

--thats some pretty good increases all while trying to lean out....and I want to thank u for this because i really did not think i could get this much stronger while leaning out and now i realize how important nutrition is.
thanks for everything

Here’s what another client had to say (P.S. this guy has been one of my favorites ;)):

“regarding your training, a brief summary (i could go on for hours!)

Training:
Instructions were very clear and simple. Focused. No uncertainties.
Any problems were solved on-line, questions answered on the spot.
Motivation, encouragement and patience GALORE!
Very informative and educating.

Diet style.

Diet was good, even with the same food everyday; I didn’t get tired of it due to your encouragement and my goal in mind it was possible to stick to it.
Healthy stuff.
Best of all was I didn’t feel like I was on a “diet”, diet!

Results:

Gained 10kg muscle mass.
Increased weights by 50%
Satisfied with overall results.

A big thank you, for allowing me to be part of your training program. Also, for letting me share in your endless knowledge on BODY BUILDING!”

I’m thinking of taking a little break off of personal training. After I pay my dues with people who paid me, I’ll just stop. Cuz frankly, some people are just plain assholes and it’s hard to go on with those people. I’m gonna change the way I charge people first of all, cuz I got screwed more than once. I have a “money back if not satisfied” policy… and again… I got screwed on that… I’ll tell you why… some people out there think that if they do 10% of what I tell them to do, they’d get twice the results. I swear to you, I know people who do 45 minutes of cardio and don’t break a sweat! That’s not called cardio. There are people who don’t follow anything on the diet plan (and they don’t tell me that… I have to have one of their friends rat them out) and they come to me all angry and shit and say “I don’t see progress, I haven’t lost a pound”… and worst of all… the people who work out for 2 days then come to me as if I stole their money demanding an explanation to why they didn’t get a six pack during those 2 days of training. And seriously, I know people in the gym (some are clients, some are not) that have been going there for more than 2 years and they still don’t know how to perform almost all the exercises. And please… when I tell you to go on the treadmill with an incline… don’t hold on to the railings, lift yourself up, and take big steps. It defies the whole damn point. Do you know who the worst clients are? Extremely fat people who think kabsa is healthy.

Music

Since I hate all the crap on the radio… I’ve decided to record four songs of my own… two new ones that can’t get out of my head, and two old ones. All I need now is a little drum machine, and some help from you guys. I don’t want to spend 3000 riyals on a multitrack recorder that I’ll never know how to use… so I need you out there to send me a program or something on that damn coooombooooter that allows you to record multi tracks and edit them… and yes, I will post the songs on the blog once I’m done with them so you can laugh at me for having the voice of a choking scare crow and guitar skills of a handicapped dog.

Oh you folks have no idea. Hamad is a very talented musician.

As for the software, there are several out there that are pretty good. Examples are:

Band-in-a-Box
Cake Walk
Adobe Audition
Sony Sound Forge
Steinberg Wavelab

Or you could buy a Mac and use Garage Band. It rocks.

Oh, and there's also another program called Session from M-Audio. It's supposed to be really easy to use.
