Update, and a nice little recipe
Well, as you know, i'm preparing for the eastern province championship that's gonna be on the 7th of December. So, I have about 7 weeks and 4 days to go. This time, i have some help (F***ING FINALLY!!). 2 weeks ago, i hired an IFBB pro to be my personal trainer (Phil). This guy is amazing! in 2 weeks, i've managed to lose some fat (really slowly) but also gain some muscle! Although Phil tells me that i have enough time to get ready, i seriously doubt that i do. Still, this year i'm gonna be much heavier than last year, and more defined. I don't expect 1st place, but 2nd place is not impossible inshallah.
Phil has opened my eyes to many things, and i remember the first thing he told me was "you must look at directions, and prepare to change roads. you have to be flexible and have an open mind"... All my life i've wanted a trainer who actually knew what he was doing, and phil definately knows what he's doing. Everyday i learn something new from this guy, and i've learned that bodybuilding is full of bullshit. and not to my surprise, medical and scientifical research only looks good on paper. in real life, it aint worth shit.
this years competition isn't my goal. my goal is next years eastern province, and the kingdom championship. Phil is going to train me all of next year. and by the way things are going, many people will be surprised :) ... last year of seriously bodybuilding ya'll, it's gonna be big!
This is the first time, as i've said, that i'm being trained by someone... this has made me realize one thing... personally, it's alot ... AND I MEAN ALOT EASIER to follow someone's instructions than it is coming up with your own shit and developing a game plan by yourself. what i don't get now is the many people i've trained. If you want something that bad, and you have the whole plan and what you have to do right infront of you on a piece of paper, why can't you do it? you don't even have to think!!! just do it!!! .... i can't understand that... seriously... "man, i wanna lose this weight... but i don't know how... it's hard... i don't know" ... here... do this... "oh... ok" ... next thing you know, they're at burger king, blaming you for not waving your magic wand and making the fat disappear....
I'm sorry, but i cannot reveal any information about my diet, training, or supplementation. I paid lots of money for all of that and it wouldn't be fair for phil, or myself, to just post all of that on the net. BUT!! i can share a delicious recipe i tried today that actually fit my "diet plan" for today.... homemade whole wheat pancakes... i swear... it's like cheating... enjoy ;)
ingredients:
150 grams (1.25 cups) whole wheat flour
1.5 cups of milk (i use super milk... you know... high protein, low fat)
1 egg
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
Mixing
mix the liquid ingredients (oil, eggs, milk) in one bowl, and the others in another bowl... slowly add the solids mixture to the liquid mixture while stirring.
if the mix is too thick, use more milk. if it's too thin, add whole wheat flour.
preheat a pan and start cooking ;)
this mix makes about 5 pancakes, 8 inches in diameter... each pancake has:
protein = 8.5 grams (incomplete), carbs = 25 grams, fat = 7.5 grams
you can use maple syrup if it's permitted in your diet, but i'd prefer honey.
