Again, and again, and again, and again...

Yup, obesity is getting worse in the states (and around the world... judging by the rising number of fat asses i see).
This time, i want your explanation. why is it that gym's are making bigger profits from more gym memberships, more books about weightloss are being sold than ever, and the supplement industry are doubling in their profit margins, yet people are still getting fatter and fatter?

write your opinion in the comment box, and i'll write mine (again) here...

I will make it organized this time (epic failed attempt to try to explain this in an easy way)... so here it goes

1) Convenient food choices (TV dinners, fast food, snacks and shit) have less volume and more calories (i picked up a "lozain" sandwich from the store last thursday in the morning for a quick bite, and saw that it had 300 calories of fat and carbs)

2) People are lazy. and let's face it, playing Rock band or shit like that for 3 hours straight is a lot more fun than going to the gym for 30 minutes. So, we say "I don't have time to workout" and try to convince ourselves that it's true.

3) Lying to ourselves. all this "i'm proud of my body" and "there's nothing wrong with being fat" is one of the main causes of the rise in obesity. you keep lying to yourself and try to believe that. then, 200 lbs later, you look at your reflection in the mirror and start crying and say "i'm fat and ugly". Yes, fat and ugliness are directly proportional. Try to convince yourself otherwise and you will end up like everyone else. 200 lbs overweight needing atleast 2 years of hard work to look normal. And this shit alone will break your will power to even START dieting or exercising

4) Believing that supplements and "super" supplements are harmful. sure they are, but that big mac you eat every goddamn day isn't, right? If an obese person switched from 3 junk meals per day, to 3 myoplex or met-rx meal replacements per day and took some fish oil, he will lose a shit ton of weight, and will be much healthier in every aspect of life. taking those meal replacements (although i think they are crap) are much better than eating your "healthy" home cooked meal, or eating at a restaurant. And guess what? it would cost less.

5) Convincing yourself that muscles are ugly. This is like trying to convince yourself that people don't care about money, looks, cars, houses, clothes... etc. Only poor people say "money is the root of all evil" and only out of shape people say "muscles are ugly"

6) Being in a hurry when you have all the time in the world. You know, yesterday i was watching "my name is Earl" and he was telling another convict in prison, who spent 20 years there, that if he would've worked with the warden and got some good behaviour certificates, he would've been out in 10 years. so the guy says "what the hell? work for him for 10 years just to get out early? who the hell has that kind of time?" it's exactly like fat people. spending 4 hours a day doing nothing productive AT ALL, wanting to get "skinny" and you tell them that if they actually used 3 hours per week out of the 40+ hours of free time they had during the week just to exercise, they'd say "who the hell has that kind of time?!"

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!
7) NO SELF CONTROL WHAT SO EVER!!!!

    i'm sorry if that offends some ppl but i can't take anymore bullshit. "ooohh i'm too tired. i worked all day long..." or "ooooh i am married. why bother being in shape?" or my personal best "ooo...i can't control it because my thyroids/or have a thyroid condition" yeah we all have thyroid condition you ignorant losers.
    DAMN....30 mins/day and it'll do wonders. yet they rather sit on their ass doing literally nothing.

    you know what's another problem? fat people think being retardedly skinny is "sexy". have you ever heard a fat person say "i wanna be lean"? especially women. they say "i wish i was skinny".

    just to be clear, extremely skinny people are just as bad as extremely fat people.

    I don't give a rat's ass if someone's fat or not. doesn't bother me at all. what bothers me is when some fat piece of crap pays for my services, I help him lose 18 lbs in 3 months WITH A SANE 2500 CALORIE DIET WITH LOTS OF CARBS AND FATS (so that there is no rebound when introducing them again after cutting them off later on) and he stops the diet and training for one month, gains 16 of those 19 lbs he lost in one month, and then says "but you told me i'll hold my weight in ramadhan if i eat reasonably." and we start arguing about it. eventually, this fuck will ruin my rep as a trainer because he thought that eating 6000-10000 calories per day is something reasonable.

    I love dealing with bodybuilders, cuz most of them understand how this shit works and just need some tweaking. they are already strict. some of them even dieted and GAINED MASS in ramadhan. some are retards, yes. but the majority are good and strict and they get me more clients. fat people... well... Not one of them was ever strict for more than 3 weeks in a row. that tells you something.

    i am totaly with you on skinny ppl. i mean WTF! girls think having muscle on them is ugly cause they picture heavy steroid female body builders that have to shave their faces more times than i have to in a month.

    if they only knew....then again skinny bitches are still considered fat in my book. i mean no muscle to back up the bones is considered fat.

    proper nutrition is not rocket science. its not hard to eat right and healthy. the good food is out there but its up to you to pick it up and buy and cook it. not only would they be saving more money and spending less but they would see their waistlines shrink.

    ooooh....what really gets me pissed off is when a fatass or an ignorant guy who is going to become a fatass in the near future, tells you that in the old days men used to eat dates and laban and kabsa all the time....ummmmm helllo, if there is anything left of a brain in that head of yours!!!!
    in the old days they had portion control!!!
    and that was because food variety was not as available as today!
    so they ate what they needed to make it through the day. not stuff as much as you can down your throat everytime your throat tickles or stomach shakes...just wait it out! it could be only gas!

    not to mention nowadays, anything you buy is somehow pumped up with HFCS (High fructose corn syrup). i mean almost everything is full of sugar!!!!

    so how putting down that 5th snickers bar you had today and your 3 cups of whole fat milk, because skim just doesnt taste good to you, and having your large plate of pasta/kabsa with fatty meat MR FAT F#%K and realise what you just inhaled down in one day. DAMN!!!

    Hamad....seriously. i don't you should take in anybody who just wants to lose weight. the general public over here is fat or too skinny. ppl will tend to stick to a plan for a couple weeks and then crash and just quit. my opinion..is to charge a deposit in advance...or sign a waver form clearing your name in any way that it would or damage your reputation. seriously...ppl come to me and tell how much weight i lost and i tell em from all the running and strength training i do....and they ask if they can join my track club and i just tell them no because they just want a quick fix.

    if you are not serious and commited to improve, then just fuck off!!!

    cause i know in the end, that the person lacks will power and discipline!

    what a load of misconceptions and just stupid drama. ppl watch the show, see how much they lose in 2 months and expect the same to happen to them!!! idiots i say...we are surrounded by idiots and we have the upper advantage!

  4. I don't plan on being a trainer for a long time. cuz frankly, i'm getting kinda fed up (even if it pays good money). I agree with you on all your points. the thing that bugs me most is that even if i'm at 10% bodyfat, carrying over 60 lbs of muscle on top of what god gave me, yet every time i decide to go get a snickers bar, or a little snack after dieting for months on end, it's usually (always) the fat shit that never diets and never moves that comes to me and say "well well well, you say you diet strictly and whatever, and now you basically eat snicker bars? pffffft..."

    and as for "i think the show THE BIGGEST LOSER is a piece of shit reality show!!

    TV is a load of misconceptions and worthless drama... even the news is like that these days...
