Natural food and crap


I get a lot crap from people about the things I eat. They take a look at my food and say “why do you eat that? Why don’t you eat natural stuff?”… Natural? Are you f***ing kidding me? Chicken breasts, oats, olive oil, and honey… HOW IS THAT NOT F***ING NATURAL!?!?!? I’ll tell you how, people don’t even know what natural means anymore. They think natural means whatever your mama cooks. News flash! Most of what you eat isn’t natural.
I was having a conversation with a guy at work and he was talking about his relative who was into bodybuilding and s***. He was saying how whenever they all gather up, they’d try to convince him to quit taking protein powders because they aren’t natural and they aren’t good for the body. So I asked him if he knew what protein powder was. Ofcourse, he gave the typical answer of “chemicals”. So, I explained how they made protein powders and asked him about his daily diet (not diet per se, but what kind of food he usually ate). He gave the typical answer that most people would give… “cheese sandwiches, kabsa (white rice with chicken and other stuff), soup… etc” … I don’t know about you, but nothing about that is natural, to me atleast. Why? Because, cheese is filled with preservatives and has enzymes and chemicals added to it to make it last longer and taste better. Kabsa has maggi in it. I don’t know about you, but I don’t think a 1x1 inch cube that has a chicken in it is natural. Also, you put tomato paste in kabsa, which is also filled with preservatives and chemicals. Soup? They have them in bags that’ll last 2 years… I’ve never heard of vegetables and chicken broth that last more than a month, I don’t think that’s natural. Bread? We use white flour to make bread… where can you find white flour in nature? No where! It goes through so many processes to get the final product you won’t even imagine. What do we feed our little kids? Nedo powdered milk… what the hell is that?
Now, I know a lot of you will say “you’re an idiot! Those things are healthy and natural. If they’re not, what the hell do you want us to eat?” … that’s not my point. My point isn’t what’s healthy and what’s not. My point is that almost everything we eat isn’t “natural”. Does it mean it’s not healthy? No! it could be healthy. We’re human beings, we think. God gave us the ability to further enhance what nature has to offer. We enhance food by enriching it with extra vitamins, mineral, more protein, more complex carbs, more healthy fats… ofcourse, we have the other end of the spectrum… fast food… where foods are stripped of any nutritional value whatsoever… hence, it tastes much better :) … but most people think “supplements” aren’t healthy because they come in green tablets in a plastic container. THEY’RE CALLED SUPPLEMENTS FOR GOD’S SAKE!!! You SUPPLEMENT your nutrition with those things! You can’t eat every single kind of food that contains all the vitamins and mineral and crap you need every single day in the right amounts! ESPECIALLY IF YOU’RE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE!!! Sometimes, you can take supplements that’ll improve your health by providing you with nutrients you can never get in food (in the right quantities). For example, I was buying some ginger root extract the other day and another customer saw me grab and asked “what’s that?” I told him what it was. So, he said “why do you need that?” and I told him that it aided in digestion and it doesn’t make me bloat after meals. He said “it’s not healthy taking that stuff from pills. I’m sure it isn’t natural… you should just eat ginger, it’s healthier and it’s natural”… what the f***?! How many kilos of ginger would I have to eat per day? I’d probably f*** up my whole GI track by eating that much ginger! You just can’t get that much in you naturally. Ofcourse, the pills are natural, and they’re just ground ginger roots… So, I hope you get my point. If not, who cares?

Best site to purchase protein

GOD DAMN!!! I found it!!! I used to see banners of this company all the time and never bothered to click it!! I just thought they sold regular name brand protein… I was soooooo wrong. This site is so cool and YOU CAN MAKE YOUR OWN CUSTOM PROTEIN MIX!!! It’s a bit expensive but it’s worth it for those who want the purest and best kind of protein out there… other than protein, they sell all kinds of s***, including waxy maize carbs (vitargo). You can make your own blend, choose from many flavors, add vitamins and enzymes… lots of stuff.
I’d personally recommend serious bodybuilders to get some whey isolates (ion exchange or hydrolyzed) for post workout protein, and get some micellar casein for your bedtime shakes. Buy in bulk, it’s cheaper.

It’s close… 10 days out

Damn… I only have 10 days left til contest day… It feels like just last week I competed in my first contest… and that was more than a year ago. Funny how things turned out this year. First they cancelled the contest… then brought it back… then delayed it… when they delayed it, I found phil… learned more things in 7 weeks than I have in 4 years… 2006 has just been a great year, and this contest will be a good way to end the year. How do I look? Shitty, but that’s not important. I did my best. I’m much better than last year and that’s all that matters to me. Cuz when I think about it, I really don’t have the right structure to be a good competitive bodybuilder. I’ll probably never get first place (freakin’ chest and love handles), but that doesn’t mean that I’m not gonna train and diet to get there. Anyway, I can’t wait til Sunday to start the “process”. Finally, I get to eat a good amount of carbs. Yeah, it’s brown rice, but who cares, atleast I won’t be hungry. I haven’t cheated in 5 weeks… and that really plays tricks on your mind… sometimes I just say that I’m never gonna compete again and that I’ve wasted a lot of time bodybuilding when I could’ve been doing something else… but after I eat a good meal, I start saying “something else? Like f***ing what? Cruising in cornice like all the other retards out there?” … no offense to anyone who cruises for 12 hours a day, but I just hate driving. I’m just tired all the time… It sucks… but, you gotta do what you gotta do, I guess. The thing that really bugs me is the water… I hold a LOT of f***ing water… phil told me not to worry and we’ll get rid of that the last couple of days… BUT IT SUCKS!!! Some people are just lucky and they don’t hold any water whatsoever (like this guy at the gym, adel al jayzani, he used to be the saudi heavy weight champion… the guy is as dry and rip as s*** all year round… he just gets bigger when he preps for a contest… like the old school guys… amazing genetics on that guy… I’m not saying that he doesn’t work as hard as hell to get to where he wants to be, but the genes help). Unfortunately, I’m not like that. I have to wait… and I’ll only know how I really look like on the day of the contest. Wish me luck.

    You worked really hard and you deserve nothing but the best. Shitty in your standards means better than most people wish to reach, but they wish and you work. You have been an inspiration to many of us, so keep it up.

    i just started carbing up today... i feel and look much better... 4 more days to go.... and then it's burger king time, baby!!!
