Cancer and shit
I will say this once and for all...
shampoo does not cause cancer
food coloring does not cause cancer
lipstick with lead in it does not cause cancer
cell phones do not cause cancer
microwaving food does not cause cancer
reusing a plastic water bottle does not cancer cancer
dust particles in this fucking sand storm will not cause fucking cancer!!!!!
how many times do i have to get this through your heads?????
Most people will believe the emails they get about this shit even though they do not have any references except for "Dr. Horse Anus from the Mayo clinic revealed a new study that links drinking bull semen to colon cancer"... a 2 second search on Dr.Horse Anus will reveal that he is a ficticious character and that the whole thing is a hoax.
My sister said this to me:
" Even if it doesn't cause cancer, i'm still gonna take the precautions just incase. i won't lose anything by doing that. and even if it's not true, i'll still have the peace of mind that, if it were true, i protected myself."
well, bravo! well said... a lot of people have this logic... good for you... you will do anything to prevent cancer, even if it's made up... good for you... i respect that... but what if obesity caused cancer? would you do anything about it? probably not, because it actually takes some effort to get off your fat ass and exercise, and it'll take will power you can't buy at a store to go on a strict diet (strict meaning healthy, natural, unprocessed... that's strict for 99% of the population)... would you take precautions? would you lose the weight the right way? no... you won't cuz you're lazy! it's as easy as shit to use your cell phone and put it on your left ear instead of your right ear as the email says... it's as easy as shit to switch from pepsi to coke becasue the pig extract in pepsi will cause cancer... it's as easy as shit to say "fuck saran wrap" and not use it... it's as easy as shit to buy a new plastic water bottle instead of reusing your old one... it's as easy as shit to use another shade of lipstick cuz the one you're using causes cancer... but when it comes to the hard stuff, you'd rather get cancer than get off your lazy ass...
you're lucky obesity doesn't cause cancer... .............. wait... what's this?????? what do i have here???? could it be medical studies that prove obesity causes cancer??? it can't be!!!!! well, i'm sure it's not significant... let me check the numbers.... OH MY GOD!!!! HAAAAAHAHAHAHA
HERE ARE THE GODDAMNED STUDIES LINKING OBESITY TO DIFFERENT KINDS OF CANCER WITH REFERENCES!!! AND IT'S NOT JUST ANY LINK!!!! IT'S A HIGH FUCKING PERCENTAGE!!!!!!
from the US national institutes of health

here's a summary...
What causes obesity?
Experts have concluded that the chief causes of obesity are a sedentary lifestyle and overconsumption of high-calorie food (4):
· Sedentary lifestyle—Researchers have found a strong correlation between lack of physical activity and obesity (4, 5).
· Diet—A diet high in calories and/or fat appears to be an important factor in obesity (6).
3. What have scientists learned about the relationship between obesity and cancer?
In 2001, experts concluded that cancers of the colon, breast (postmenopausal), endometrium (the lining of the uterus), kidney, and esophagus are associated with obesity. Some studies have also reported links between obesity and cancers of the gallbladder, ovaries, and pancreas (4).
Obesity and physical inactivity may account for 25 to 30 percent of several major cancers—colon, breast (postmenopausal), endometrial, kidney, and cancer of the esophagus (4).
Preventing weight gain can reduce the risk of many cancers. Experts recommend that people establish habits of healthy eating and physical activity early in life to prevent overweight and obesity. Those who are already overweight or obese are advised to avoid additional weight gain, and to lose weight through a low-calorie diet and exercise. Even a weight loss of only 5 to 10 percent of total weight can provide health benefits (4).
4. How many people get cancer by being overweight or obese? How many die?
In 2002, about 41,000 new cases of cancer in the United States were estimated to be due to obesity. This means that about 3.2 percent of all new cancers are linked to obesity (7).
A recent report estimated that, in the United States, 14 percent of deaths from cancer in men and 20 percent of deaths in women were due to overweight and obesity (8).
Read it!!!! READ IT!!!!!
and if you're saudi... well, you're in luck... cuz i have this statistic!!!!
This was a study done in saudi with regards to BMI and percentage of overweight people and obese people in 1997
http://www.kfshrc.edu.sa/annals/173/96-177.pdf
The prevalence of overweight,
i.e., BMI between 25-29.9 was higher in the males
compared to the females, while the reverse was true for
obesity, where 20.26% of the total female population was
obese compared to 13.05% of the total male population.
And guess what? We got fatter in 2007
The prevalence of overweight among male subjects was significantly higher than for female subjects (29% vs 27%). The prevalence of obesity among female subjects was significantly higher than for male subjects (24% vs 16%)
http://cat.inist.fr/?aModele=afficheN&cpsidt=3137530
¼ of saudi women are obese. And ¼ are overweight.
Mariam, my wife, is 5’1 weighing 47 kilos with a 27 inch waist and she's very fit (weight trains, jogs, and diets)… I know a lot of women who are the same height, or even shorter that look like 5 mariams put together and they say “I weigh 52 kilos”… stop being in denial and stop thinking that you aren’t overweight or even obese because the guy or girl sitting next to you is fatter than you are!
now, what are you going to do about that? probably nothing....
so now it's a fact
FATASSISM CAUSES CANCER!!!!
On a lighter note
Songs
I pretty much wrapped up two songs with the lyrics and guitar riffs and i already know how the drum track should be... so it's a matter of buying a drum machine and programming the damn thing. Third song is almost done... lyrics are complete, and about 95% of the riffs and drum track is complete. the fourth and last song... well, i got ideas floating around, 50% of the lyrics are done, probably 75% of teh riffs are done, and i don't have a fucking clue on how the drums will go on this thing... so, hopefully when i get all my equipment set up (new computer, or digital multitrack recorder, drum machine, new guitar) it's just a matter of plugging everything up and recording. Around October or early Novermber inshallah they'll be up on the blog.
Fuds
ME HUNGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEE!!!! goddamn!!! I didn't go on the ratios i mentioned last week, but i went on 345 gr protein, 280 gr carbs, and 75 gr fat (around 3200 cals). i'm getting leaner, not losing any size, and i'm getting as hungry as fuck!!!!!! This is good... this is very good... I should've done this a long time ago... i don't care how slow i burn fat... eating like this, having a metabolism like this, having energy like this, and keeping all my size (and some people are swearing that i'm actually getting bigger) is what i'll do the next time i diet (march or april 2009 inshallah)...

But, Smoking does cause cancer :P
good luck on the tracks, im sure everyone reading your blog would like to listen to them.
And this obesity causes cancer thing is def news to me.
[r],
I hope you were just being sarcastic about that smoking remark. there's a difference between causing cancer and speeding up the process.
when it comes to cancer, all they have are correlations.
you can say, in lung cancer patients, they found that 80% of those patients smoked cigarettes (for example). does that mean cigarettes causes lung cancer? no, it's a correlation. it's just a piece of the puzzle. if smoking caused lung cancer, east asia would all be dead from lung cancer by now. will cigarettes kill you? they sure as hell won't make you live longer. and yes, they take years away from your life (carbon monoxide intoxication, tar build up in the lungs... etc). but do they CAUSE cancer... simple answer, no. do they speed up the occurence of cancer if you are prone to it? absolutely. hope that makes sense, and this is just incase you weren't being sarcastic :P
as for obesity causing cancer... it doesn't cause cancer... it speeds up the process of occurence in certain cases. One of my relatives is in the hospital now, and the expected diagnosis is colon cancer. The guy is considered "healthy" in today's standards. he's obese... we were discussing this yesterday at my parents house, and finally i got through to my dad (atleast)... he said "well, like you always say in your emails you send, there's no way of knowing if he had a history of cancer in his direct family because back in the day, they didn't even know what cancer was... he might have been prone to it, and the obesity triggered it"
does that mean if he wasn't obese, we wouldn't have got it? i don't think so. it could've delayed the onset of it for a couple of years. but, in most cases, it's inevitable.
