As you know in my earlier post, i weighed-in at the venue and i was bumped up to the heavyweight 90 kg category (weighed 86.5 kg... 1.5 kg above the cut off for light heavies). I started sipping more gatoraid cuz i was really fucking thirsty by that time, and i wasn't worried about weight gain.

We waited for the whole damn thing to start, and the fuckers were late, again! anyway, when the 65 kg guys hit the stage, we realized that it was gonna be a shitty contest due to lack of good lighting (everything was dark and you could barely see) and there were hardly any chairs for the audience to sit on.
after the 70 kg weight class were done, i went to eat my french toast and syrup, and starting pumping up. the water depletion and carb loading (shitloading) plan worked much much much better than i expected. i was fully loaded, awesome pump, no dizziness, and I WASN'T SWEATING AT ALL!!!! which basically means that i only had fat left on my body and no water whatsoever... it's funny how when you sit for a couple of minutes and think about crap logically, you can come up with a plan that's so simple, and so easy to follow that it'll probably work on anyone... and not try to make it seem like some secret super duper plan that only one person knows how to do and charges around $400 just to tell you how to do it... yes, this is true. there is a person who sensationalises this whole way and charges that much just to tell you how to do it. and a lot of people pay him... anyway... since the lighting was shitty, i didn't feel like painting myself with that dream tan crap and spending the next 2 years washing it off... so i just applied some "hot stuff" (yeah, that's what it's called... basically it's topical niacin and nicotine). then i went on stage...

as you can see from the stage pics... the lights weren't even over the competitors... we were covered in shadows and you can't tell the fat ones from the lean ones...
just to let you know, i was at around 5% fat, and the closest one to me was at around 12%. don't mean to sound like a proud fuck, but just stating facts...
after the stage, we went down to the little gym they had and took pics... and you can see the real conditioning here...

The placings
first place, bitches! 1 down, 4 to go!!!

just a little story in bodybuilding judging for you
one of the 65 kg guys got screwed over from 2nd place and got 3rd instead because our club team coach knew the judges well and he convinced them to put his guy in 2nd place...
when we were weighing in, the coach wanted me to be in the 85 kg class, and the other guy we had who was supposed to be in the 85 kg class down to the 80 kg class... we both talked to him and told him not to screw around with it and just leave it be. he could've talked to the judges and put me in the 85 kg class if he wanted... that's really fucked up
the 85 kg class...
as i was standing back stage and looking at the contestants on stage, there was this guy who was as big as a house. i could only see his shoulders, traps, and side of his legs from where i was standing... when i got off stage, the guys told me he was huge and ripped and i was lucky not to go into the 85 kg class...
when they were gonna announce the winner, i was standing backstage with the guy and got a good look at him... and after watching the pictures on my camera of this guy... i don't want to sound like an arrogant prick... he was bigger than i was (he's 5'5, i'm 5'7) , but he wasn't as lean... that's one... and if you take a look at this picture... I don't want to take anything away from this guy, but if he was in the states, and the judging was fair, he wouldn't have taked 1st place like he did yesterday... instead he would've had a lot of points taken down for many things that i won't mention... if you are experienced in bodybuilding, you would know...

I'm 5 weeks out now... probably gonna still be in the heavyweights... i don't want to lose any muscle... in fact, i want to gain some... and probably lose some fat... i won't do anything to drop weight this time, just trying to look better for the nationals.
I dont really have any experience in bodybuilding, but even to my untrained eye, it looks like that other guy has no symmetry whatsoever.
ReplyDeletekind of ...
ReplyDeletebut bodybuilders are seriously taken down in placing for certain things that are either signs of "fucking up real bad" or "enhancements that aren't natural"... i'm talking people have gone down from 2nd place to 8th place for that kind of thing...
just look at biceps, chest, and inner quads...
Congrats! All the best for the coming contest :) (I guess that's what you meant by the -nationals-
ReplyDeleteCongrats man,, i had no doubt that you'd take 1st place... man, after seeing these pics of yours.. i feel like bench pressing lol
ReplyDeleteCongrats hamad, great job! Your legs look freakish and your side chest pose killed it. Keep it up.

Few of the audience knew Hamad, his friends who showed up that day, and the rest didnt but I swear when he stepped on stage to do his posing the crowd went crazy...
YEA BUDDY ;)
Congrats on the gold mate !!!
ReplyDeleteAND you get brownie points for not taking up the offer of getting into a lower class ;) Good Job !!
Alf mabrook wallah tistahel...
ReplyDeleteMwaffag in the upcoming ones..
You looked significantly leaner and more vascular than other three I saw on stage...did you know you had the contest from the start and decided against using tanning cream?
ReplyDeleteSal,
ReplyDeleteyup, nationals are on the 9th of april... gonna try to get heavier for those
fozan/anon/bbq8/bandar/Raven,
thanks for the great comments guys :) ... and bandar, it was all energy pills baby :) LOL!
[R],
i really don't care even if i was 100 grams above the limit, i should be in the proper weight class no matter what... that's why they have weight classes anyway :P
Brett,
you can never know if you will win or not until the judges announce it! you never know, maybe at the last minute, some freak reaches the stage that you didn't even know about
as for the tanning cream... when i saw the 65 kg guys on stage, i knew the lighting was too fucked up to make a difference anyway. so i decided against it.
next contest, i'll apply some coats of protan a day before and on the morning of the contest to get darker and see how that works
